Syed Nadeem Raza Sarwar Rizvi (in Urdu ندیم سرور) is a Shia Pakistani Noha reciter. He is well known in the Shia community and is considered the best Noha Khwaan (Noha reciter) of present because of his unique style of recitation.^[1] He rose to fame in the 1980s when his Nohas gained popularity overseas. Since then he has recited several hundred Nohas all over the world wherever a Shia population exists. He has also released recorded collections of 7 to 10 Nohas every year since 1980 and has published many books of his Nohas.

^[2] He has hitherto released 30 albums of Nauha Cassette and CDs from 1980 - 2012. Though he mostly recites in Urdu, he has also recited in languages such as Sindhi, Sariki, Punjabi, Pushto, Pourbi, Hindi, Gujarati, Persian, Arabic, English, and French.

 He is very popular among the youth^{[citation needed]} with many copying his style to be similarly popular and some of them have seen success. His collections of Nohas are very popular during the Islamic month of Muharram when his Nohas are listened to and recited by many. He has collaborated several times with the famous Pakistani Poet Rehan Azmi. Most of the Nohas recited by him are "Kalaam".

Nadeem Sarwar is a Nauha Khuwan from Karachi, Pakistan. Nawhas are poetry vocalized melodically in expressing the sorrow felt by Shi’a Muslims for their leader Muhammad’s grandson Imam Hussain and his family who were martyred at the Battle of Karbala, Iraq on 10th Muharram in the year 61 of Islamic Calender (680 AD).

He is the son of late Syed Asrar Hussain Rizvi and Syeda Narjis Khatoon. At the age of four he started Nauha Khuwani with help of his mother and father. Nadeem Sarwar is married and has 3 children, 2 sons 1 daughter and now currently lives in Karachi, Pakistan. His sons are Ali Shanawar and Ali Jee and both also recite Nauhas.

Eid-e-Zahra – An occasion of great happiness

Rabi-ul Awwal 9, the day of glory, honor, dignity and blessings, is a great Eid known as "Eid-e-Shuja’a", "Eid-e-Zahra (A.S)” or the Feast of Zahraa (A.S.). Many traditions from holy Prophet (S.W.) and his Ahlul Bayt (A.S.) have been reported in its merit.

Ibn-e-Taous narrates in Zawaed-ul Fawaed that Holy Prophet (S.W.)’s companion, Hazrat Hozayfa Yamani (R.A.), said that he went to holy Prophet (S.W.) on 9th of Rabi-ul Awwal and witnessed him smiling while he had his eyes on the faces of his grandsons Imam Hassan (A.S.) and Imam Hussain (A.S.). He said to them: ‘Surely on this day, Allah will ruin His enemy and enemy of your grandfather, and prayer of your mother will be accepted on this day, and this is the day when Allah accepts deeds of your followers and your devotees…”

Imam Ali (A.S.) told Hozayfa Yamani (R.A.) 72 names of this Eid Day. Some of these are: Youm-ul Eid As-Sani, Youm-ul Istaraha, Youma Raf’il Qalam, Youma Eid-Ullah Al-Akbar, Youma Ijabatid Duaa, Youma Farh-ush Shia, Youma Eido Ahlil Bayt (A.S.) and Youma Saroor-e-Ahlil Bayt (A.S.).

This was the day, when pained Ahl-e-Bayt-e-Rasool (holy Progeny of holy Prophet (S.W.)) ended their mourning following the gruesome tragedy of Karbala and for the first time after the massacre of his father Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his companions, the 4th Imam (A.S.) Ali bin Al-Hussain Zayn-ul Abideen (A.S.) smiled.

It is reported in Behar-ul Anwaar, Vol 45 and Jame-ur Ruwaat, Vol 02 that it was this time of the year when Ahle Bayt-e-Rasool (A.S.) brought their mourning to an end as Hazrat Mukhtar Saqafi (R.A.) - one of the great companions and true followers of Ahlul Bayt (A.S.) - took revenge from killers of Imam Hussain (A.S.) by killing them all in the same manner as they did, and then he sent to Beemar-e-Karbala Hazrat Imam Zayn-ul Abideen (A.S.) the heads of the slaughterers of Imam Hussain (A.S.) including Ibne Ziyad and Umer bin Sa'ad. Umer bin Sa'ad was the first to shoot the arrow towards Hussaini camps and he then proudly said: "Be witness that me the first to shoot the arrow."

Receiving heads of these tyrants, Imam Zayn-ul Abideen (A.S.) paid thanking prostration to Allah saying, “Thanks to Allah for He took revenge from our enemies" and prayed for Hazrat Mukhtar (R.A.) in these words: "May Allah reward Mukhtar good.”

In another narration Sahib-e-Nasiq writes that on the moment when these two heads were brought to Imam Zayn-ul Abideen (A.S.), the holy Imam said: “I thank God who kept me alive to this day when I could see the heads of the tyrants who killed my holy father Imam Hussain (A.S.)”.

History tells that from Ashura - the day when Imam Hussain (A.S.) was slaughtered - till the day the heads of the killers of Imam Hussain (A.S.) were brought, no one of the Ahlul-Bayt (A.S.) paid any time to their own like combed their hair or anything like that, neither did anyone see smoke coming out from the house of the Ahl-e-Bayt-e-Rasool (A.S.).

It was Mukhtar (R.A.) who managed to bring happiness after years of mourning in the house of the Ahlul Bayt (A.S.).

Chief of Prophets holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (S.W.) said, "Train your brood in three things; the love of your Prophet, the love of his progeny i.e. Ahlul Bayt, and recitation of Quran."

A saying of Imam Muhammad Al-Baqir (A.S.) goes, "The best means through which servants can achieve closeness to Allah, Mighty and Glorious, is the obedience of Allah, the obedience of his messenger, and the obedience of those charged with (spiritual) authority." Then, he added; “The love of us (Ahlul Bayt) is Faith and the hatred for us in infidelity.

Sixth infallible descendant of holy Prophet (S.W.), Imam Jafar As-Sadiq (A.S.) said; "Verily there are various degrees of serving Allah, but love (and cordial inclination) for us, Ahlul Bayt, is the highest one."

This Eid day achieves more heights of honor, glory and excellence as on this auspicious day the crown of Imamat is passed to Imam of our era, the last 12th Imam Al-Mehdi (A.S.). A saying of Holy Prophet (S.W.) goes: "One who dies without knowing the Imam of his time, dies a death of ignorance.”

Imam Al-Mehdi, Al-Qa'em, Saheb-ul Asr (A.S.) is our Imam, Imam of our time and as the verse 71 of chapter Bani Israel of holy Quran says: "(Remember) The day (of Judgment) when we shall call every people with their Imam", we will be called and presented with our Imam on Resurrection Day.

Friends of Muhammad (S.W.) and Aal-e-Muhammad (A.S.) should celebrate this day with great happiness, for our joys are with the joys of Ma'soomeen (A.S.) and our grief and sorrows are for them alone.

Some Aamaal of this day as reported by scholars are as under:
* Dress in new and fine apparel,
* Perfume oneself,
* Throw feast for Momineen (believers),
* Make them (Momineen) happy,
* Greet each other,
* Recite Ziarat Imam-e-Zamana (A.S.)

As its name suggests, Urdu letters have been mapped to the keys on your keyboard by phonetics, i.e. the way they sound. So, the key A becomes ا, B becomes ب, and so on.

 Download the "Urdu Phonetic Keyboard" installed attached as CRULP_Urdu_Phonetic_setup(2).rar
 This installer has been taken from the Center for Research in Urdu Language Processing (CRULP) website and due credit is given for their work on this project. This installer may be downloaded from their website as well.

1.Unzip the .zip package downloaded above. Double click on the Setup.exe file to begin the installation.

 The installation is extremely simple, without any intermediate steps. Wait for the window with the following message to show, confirming that installation is complete:

2.CRULP Urdu Phonetic v1.1 has been successfully installed.

3.Click "Close" to exit.

4. Go to Control Panel > Region and Language and select the "Keyboards and Languages" tab. Click on "Change keyboards". Notice that under the Urdu keyboards menu, the CRULP Phonetic Keyboard has been added along with the default Urdu keyboard. Since we no longer have any use for the default Urdu keyboard, click on "Urdu" and then press the "Remove" button on the right. Click on Apply and Ok to save your settings.

Inpage is an application software which is used to write Urdu language, it was introduced in 2000 for the first time and still it is in the same shape(now is 2013). Urdu can be used to compose Urdu books, Urdu Magazines, Urdu Newspaper etc. It is very simple software and easy to learn. You can just open it and start writing Urdu. Many people work in Corel Draw and in Photoshop and they often include Urdu in their projects. So Urdu can be included in Photoshop and Corel Draw very easily. If you want to include Urdu from Inpage to Corel Draw then please make sure you have opened Inpage first then Corel Draw. Insert a text box in Inpage and write Urdu in it and then simply copy the box and paste into Corel Draw and You're done. Mostly, we use Phonetic Keyboard in Urdu because it is similar to normal English keyboard. You can select Phonetic Keyboard as default by going to Edit menu and then select this option from Preferences.

Some Sayings of the Holy Prophet During his Lifetime with Reference to Imam Husayn:

1.      Hassan(a.s.) and Hussain(a.s.) are the leaders of the Youths of Paradise.

2.      Hussan(a.s.) is from me and I am from Hussain(a.s.) , Allah befriends those who befriend Hussain(a.s.) and He is the enemy of those who bear enmity to him.

3.      Whoever wishes to see such a person who lives on earth but whose dignity is honoured by the Heaven dwellers, should see my grandson Hussain(a.s.).

4.      O my son! your flesh is my flesh and your blood is my blood, your are a leader , the son of a leader and the brother of a leader; your are a spiritual guide, the son of a spiritual guide and the brother of a spiritual guide; you are an Apostolical Imam , the son of an Apostolical Imam and the brother of an Apostolical Imam; your are the father of nine Imams, the ninth of whom would be the Oaim (the last infallible spiritual guide).

5.      The punishment inflicted on the murderer of Hussain(a.s.) in Hell would be equal to half of the total punishment to be imposed on the entire sinners of the world.

6.      When the Holy Prophet(phuh) informed Hazrat Fatimah(s.a.) of the Martyrdom in store for his grandson, she burst into tears and asked, "O my father! when would my son be martyred?" "In such a critical moment," he replied," When neither I nor you, nor Ali would be alive. " This accentuated her grief and she inquired again," Who then, O my father, would commemorate Hussain's martyrdom?". The Holy Prophet(pbuh) said, "The men and the women of a particular sect of my followers, who will befriend my Ahl-ul-Bayt, will mourn for Hussain and commemorate his martyrdom each year in every century."

Ibn Saad narrates from ash-shabi:
Imam Ali(a.s.) while on his way to Siffin, passed through the desert of Karbala, there he stopped and wept very bitterly. When interrogated regarding the cause of his weeping, he commented that one day he visited the Holy Prophet(pbuh) and found him weeping. when he asked the Apostle of Allah(swt) as to what was the reason which made him weep, he replied, "O Ali Gabriel has just been with me and informed me that my son Hussain would be martyred in Karbala, a place near the bank of the River Euphartes. This moved me so much that I could not help weeping."
